The Jigawa State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps
(NSCDC) has arraigned a 36-year-old man, Ahmed Sule, before a
JigawaState High Court for allegedly raping a nine-year-old girl in
Kuden Gabas village in DutseLocal Government Area of the state.
Officers of NSCDC arrested the accused person said to be living in the same village with the victim last week after raping the girl.
The state Commandant NSCDC, Dr. Muhammad Gidado Fari, who confirmed the arrest, said the commandarraigned the suspect under Section 283 of Penal Code laws of Jigawa State.
However, the matter has been adjourned to December4. 2014.
