image According to PUNCH reports, Fifty nine passengers and four crew members escaped death by the whiskers on Saturday when an Overland plane from Abuja overshot the runway at the Ilorin airport. A statement by the General Manager, Public Affairs, of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Mr. Fan Ndubuoke, on Saturday, said no life was lost in the incident, which he added, was already being investigated. The statement read, “An Overland flight 1186, an ATR 72 aircraft with Registration number 5N-BPG from Abuja airport to Ilorin, carrying fifty nine passengers and four crew members, veered off the runway at low speed after a normal landing at the Ilorin Airport. “The incident which occurred today Saturday, November 29, at 4.45pm, has no casualty recorded. However, the Accident and Prevention Bureau in conjunction with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has begun an investigation into the cause of the incident. “The authority wishes to use this medium to reassure Nigerians that safety of the traveling public is still paramount and cannot be compromised.” A source told one of our correspondents that three professors –a former Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin, Prof. Ishaq Oleyede, Prof. Lanre Badmus and one unnamed professor — were on board the flight. One of the passengers, Mr. Ayuba Balami, commended the pilot for showing great experience by maneuvering the plane to safety. However, the airline said the the plane did not crash-land at the Ilorin airport on Saturday. A statement by the management of Overland, which confirmed the incident and insisted that there was no crash. ‎It said, “‎It was a normal flight to Ilorin and standard procedures of flight were followed. The aircraft landed safely at Ilorin Airport at 1645hrs as scheduled and decelerated to a low speed, and in turning off the active runway, veered off the pavement. “At the directive of the Pilot In Command, our cabin crew calmly evacuated all the 59 passengers safely and they were moved to the airport terminal. No passengers or crew sustained any injuries whatsoever. “Our Ilorin passengers have since collected their baggage and gone home while the Ibadan Airport bound passengers will continue on Overland Airways to Ibadan Airport.” Source:- PUNCH

Nigeria’s former President, Olusegun Obasanjo, on Wednesday lampooned the National Assembly, saying it is largely an assemblage of looters and thieves.

Mr. Obasanjo, who was speaking at the public presentation of the autobiography of Justice Mustapha Akanbi, in Abuja, regretted that every aspect of Nigeria’s national life is riddled with corruption.

However, he said there were a few exceptions and people who stand out and would not succumb to the scourge of sleaze, even in the federal legislature.

In a speech he delivered at the public presentation of “The Story Of My Two Worlds; Challenges, Experiences And Achievements” written by Justice Akanbi, the pioneer chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission, the former president said the National Assembly, which he said is shrouding its corruption in the opaque nature of its budget, has damaged its capacity to oversight the executive.

He accused the President Goodluck Jonathan-led executive of making direct payments to the legislature in order to cover up its wrong doings.

“Apart from shrouding the remunerations of the National Assembly in opaqueness and without transparency, they indulge in extorting money from departments, contractors and ministries in two ways,” Mr. Obasanjo said.

“They do so during visits to their projects and programmes and in the process of budget approval when they build up budgets for ministries and departments, who agree to give it back to them in contracts that they do not execute. They do similar things during their inquiries.”

Mr. Obasanjo said the Goodluck Jonathan’s administration has upped Nigeria’s corruption level through the huge sums of money it has been paying to the National Assembly to stop investigating its corrupt acts.

He said, “Corruption in the National Assembly also includes what they call constituency projects which they give to their agents to execute but invariably, full payment is made with little or no job done.

“In all this, if the executive is not absolutely above board, the offending members of the National Assembly resort to subtle or open threat, intimidation and blackmail. When the executive pay the huge money, normally in millions of dollars, all is quiet in form of whitewashed reports that fail to deal effectively with the issues investigated.”

The former president insisted that over the years, the National Assembly never singled out any corrupt lawmaker except where the executive led in the indictment of a member.

He listed some of the cases where the executive led in exposing corruption in the National Assembly to include those of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Salisu Buhari, and former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara.

He maintained that majority of the members of the National Assembly live above the law in both misconduct and corruption and cannot in good conscience carry out oversight duties on any government ministry or department.

Mr. Obasanjo, however, noted that there are still some honourable and distinguished men and women in the National Assembly, who would not do anything to soil their hands.
He said with a largely corrupt legislature, Nigeria is doomed.

“When the guard is the thief, only God can keep the house safe and secure,” he said. “But I am optimistic that sooner than later, we will overcome.

“God will give us guards of integrity and honesty with the fear of God and genuine love of their people and their country.

“Today, there is no institution of government that is not riddled with corruption, not even the military. As the people cry out, where then is the salvation.”

The former president also drew attention to the growing level of youth unemployment in the country, warning that unless urgent steps are taken to address the situation, the country could implode.

Mr Obasanjo provided figures suggesting that out of the country’s estimated 178.5 million population, 70 per cent are below 30 years, with 54 per cent being unemployed.

“I have no doubt in my mind that youth unemployment, youth dissatisfaction and youth frustration were part of the causes of the so-called Arab Spring from which Libya and Egypt have not yet fully come out and which caused insecurity and instability in the whole of the Arab world.

“We must learn the right lessons and put in place, programmes that will address youth empowerment and youth employment, youth discontent and youth dissatisfaction and youth frustration to avoid youth anger and explosion generated there from,” Mr. Obasanjo said.

“You see, the way we go about our politics is
so funny. What irritates me now is what I see
on Television; at the last count, I think
somebody was writing in a national paper that
they have over 8,000 groups for Jonathan,
groups calling on Jonathan to run. I have never
seen such an embarrassing thing in my life.
Jonathan is a sitting President; he is a member
of a political party. You see Pius Anyim,
Secretary to Government, saying we have
collected 4 million signatures begging Jonathan
to come and run; this is a repetition of what
happened during the Military – the 1 million
man-match. We do not need it now. Have you
ever seen a group calling on Obama, please
come and run, or on Cameron of the United
Kingdom? They just coin all kinds of name,
Goodluck to Goodluck, Jonathan to Jonathan,

“I don’t know what went wrong or why
eyebrows were raised last week when the
paltry sum of $9.3m was discovered by some
busybody agents in South Africa after a private

I’m surprised that anyone would dare search
such a super executive jet anywhere in Africa
where the rich can get away with murder. The
story that went viral was that a plane

nation,”-
APC said.
The All Progressives Congress (APC), calling out

give people a relief.-”

FIFA released its world ranking for the month of November early today and Nigeria’s Super Eagles have neither risen nor moved down the ranking, but remain number 42, which they were last month.

In the month under review, the Eagles failed to make it to the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations taking place in Equatorial Guinea in January after Stephen Keshi’s led Eagles went to Congo to beat the Red Devils 2-0 and drew 2-2 against South Africa in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Congo, however, moved up six and three positions as they are now on 51 and 59 in the world respectively. Algeria retain their number one position in Africa, but went down three places to 18 in the world. Tunisia second (22), Ivory Coast third (24), Senegal fourth (35), Ghana fifth (38), Guinea sixth (38), Cape Verde Islands seventh (39) and Cameroon eighth (41) behind Nigeria ninth in Africa.

The November edition of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking reveals very little change in the top ten, with the top seven positions unaltered from last month and world champions Germany still out in front ahead of Argentina and Colombia. France, however, are now in joint seventh place together with Portugal (7th, up 2). In the top 20, England (13th, up 7), Romania (15th, up 6) and Czech Republic (17th, up 5) have all made good progress.

Bomb blast in northeast Nigeria bus station killed 40 people including five army personnels

YOLA, Nigeria (Reuters) - A roadside bomb tore through a bus station near a busy junction in northeast Nigeria on Thursday, killing 40 people including five soldiers, witnesses and a security source on the scene said.

The security source and witness Abubakar Adamu, a mechanic who narrowly avoided being blown up himself, said the blast set several buses on fire at the Marabi-Mubi junction, in a part of the country plagued by violence linked to the Boko Haram Islamist insurgency.

"There were bodies everywhere on the ground," Adamu said.

The location is about 30 km (20 miles) west of Mubi, a town near the Cameroon border seized last month by Boko Haram militants fighting to carve an Islamic state out of religiously-mixed Nigeria. It has since been recaptured.

Nigerian authorities, who rarely remark on security developments in the troubled northeast, did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

There was no claim of responsibility, but suspicion is likely to fall on Boko Haram, whose campaign to create an Islamic caliphate governed by sharia law has killed thousands since 2009.

Continuing insecurity is a headache for President Goodluck Jonathan ahead of February 2015 polls in which he is seeking a second elected term in office. He has asked parliament for approval to extend an 18-month-old state of emergency in the northeast.

Two female suicide bombers killed at least 44 people on Tuesday in the northeastern city of Maiduguri, medical officials said.

His name in Igbo language means “Lord bless me”. But today Chigozie is certainly not feeling blessed as he is one of the numerous Nigerians currently serving various jail terms in Ghanaian prisons.

He was arrested at the airport in Ghana while trying to smuggle Marijuana to Hong Kong and was subsequently sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. Chigozie’s health is said to have deteriorated, allegedly due to the poor condition of the prison. They (inmates) are allegedly denied food and medical attention when sick.

Chigozie and other Nigerians who are languishing in Ghanaian prisons have, therefore, appealed to the Federal Government to repatriate them back to Nigeria to complete their jail terms. He narrated his ordeal to Vanguard Metro, VM on telephone.

“I want to first of all, say that I am truly sorry for engaging in drug trafficking and bringing dishonour to my country, Nigeria. Before I was arrested, I was supplying computer accessories to traders in Ghana.

I later got involved in drug trafficking and was caught with Marijuana at the Airport while attempting to travel to Hong Kong. I was charged to court and sentenced to 15 years imprisonment. I have already served about 12 months and still have 14 years to go.

Presently, I am very sick and need medical care. But the authorities have refused to allow me and other Nigerian prisoners access to medical attention. I don’t want to die in a foreign prison. We are treated like animals and the conditions are terrible. When a Nigeria eventually dies in prison, his relatives are not usually notified,” he said.
Pleads for government intervention

Continuing, he said: “ I am pleading to the Nigeria government to intervene to enable Nigerians who are prisoners in Ghana have access to medical treatment when sick or better still, bring us back to serve our jail terms in Nigeria.

Our families are in the dark, they really don’t know what we are facing. We’ve spent a lot of money trying to appeal in court, but all to no avail.

“ I have witnessed over 100 deaths of Nigerian citizens in Ghanaian prisons and most of their families are not even aware. They still nurse the hope of their return without knowing they are dead and thrown into the bush. We appeal to the government of Nigeria to please act on our behalf and repatriate us back home. We have many Nigerians in all the 46 prisons in Ghana that need the help of the Nigerian government.”

Another prisoner at Nsawam Medium Security Prison, Ghana who insisted on anonymity said: “I’m serving a jail-term of 50 years for narcotics not worth up to one kilogramme. I am presently in my sixth year in jail

Appeal

“We appeal to the Nigerian government to please come to our aid and repatriate us back to Nigerian prisons to serve our remaining sentences. The condition here is very unbearable. We need to reconnect with our families. The Ghanaian police are fond of arresting innocent Nigerians, giving them high sentences of 50, 70 ,100, 150 to 200 years. Most of us have spent eight, 10, 15, 17 and 20 years in prison and some have died without completing their jail terms,” he alleged.

Revenge

“ My prosecutor told me that he is dealing with Nigerians as a revenge for what the Nigerian government did to Ghanaians in 1983 and 1985 when they were deported during the infamous Ghana-Must-Go.”

Pray for us

He appealed to Nigerians to “please continue to pray for us and do what you can to bring us back home”.

His words: “Another sad part is that most of us are on sick bed without drugs and food. We are in prison yet we feed our selves.

This is the hardship Nigerian citizens in all the prisons in Ghana are facing. I have been sick for the past three months and they have not taken me to the hospital or given me any drug. They treat us like animals. They give us only dry garri.
We have no access to communication. I know how I suffered to reach you. Our hopes and the lives of about 800 to 1000 Nigerian prisoners in the 46 prisons in Ghana lies in your hand. Please, help us reach out to the Nigeria government”.

The leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation have admitted that their hands are tied where Stephen Keshi’s tenure as coach of the Eagles is concerned.

Nigerians are calling for the resignation of Keshi following his failure to qualify Nigeria for next year’s AFCON defence of the title he won in 2013

But the Edo born coach still wants to remain as coach.

He is yet to be offered a new deal and the NFF have been silent on his future, a situation which a board member of the NFF said was out of their control.

“The last time we did what we thought was best, we were forced to revert the changes by people in high places. This time around we are helpless,” the source lamented.

“We are scared of announcing we won’t renew his deal due to what happened last time and unless he resigns or walks away we can’t help out,” he further added.

Keshi himself has insisted he is still the best man for the job.

greeting  guys. Right now am in Lekki and awaiting to be interview by the CEO of this coy. While waiting for several minutes to be intervied, I actually took time to study the applicants around me hence this topic. I hope this correlates but here are my findings..

1. The Two Jolly Friends: Alright, here's a typical example of me and my friend. We went together for this interview and since we knew each other outside this room, we kept on gisting about how the job is gonna be, how ugly this girl was and so on.

2. The Mute One: I'm sure most people would agree with me when I say that there must be this one person who refuses to utter a single word while waiting to be called for an interview. He/She keeps quiet unless, they are called upon or asked a question.

3. The Noise Makers: These ones are found always. They will make noise no matter the situation. Talking about stuff that's important and the ones which are not important. Funny enough, the noise makers actually end up being the cute ladies and guys. Don't really know why. But presently, that is what I have noticed.

4. The Over Sabi: Yes! This ones eh.. Ok sha. This type of applicants will just be asking questions like Soyinka. The very minute they flop, they will just wanna enter the ground. I have seen typical examples this morning. After a staff gave us (applicants) a salient briefing, someone still rose his/her hand to ask a question which already had an answer in the staffs briefing.

5. The Enigma: Hehehehe... I'm not being biased ooo but this particular one here refers to me. You see, I prefer doing 20% of everything cheesy. When its time to talk, I talk. When its time to STFU, I do exactly that and when its time to flirt grin , I do that aswelll.

So this are the 5 types of applicants you find in a waiting room to be interviewed..

Wish u luck oo..

The 33-year-old proprietress of a neighbourhood home lesson at Idi-Omo area of Ibadan, Oyo State, Mrs Kafayat Olatubosun, has described the incident which led to the disappearance of four pupils in her care as one that is like a devil stalking her, after which he crept in and struck. A woman simply identified as eleha (woman in purdah) disappeared with the kids on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. The children are yet to be found till the writing of this report The four missing children, whose names were given as Abdulsalam Aderibigbe, Abigail Adegunju, Chidiebere and Onyiyechukwu were reportedly taken away by the eleha who disguised as someone in need of an employment. She struck within 30 minutes of starting her job as a lesson assistant. According to Mrs Olatunbosun who is nursing a 14-month-old baby and is currently kept in protective custody at State Criminal Investigation, Iyaganku, Ibadan, “I started operating a neighbourhood lesson for children at Sagbolada Compound, Idi Omo, Ibadan in 2009.

I rented a space in the compound and I pay N500 monthly for it. “I have about 35 pupils between the ages of one-and-half and three. Sometimes, primary school pupils sent home from their schools because of non-payment of fees are brought by their parents so that there would be no vacuum in their academic lives. I collect N20 daily for each child and the lesson hours are between 8a.m. and 1p.m.” The National Teachers Institution (NTI) certificate holder and mother of three spoke further: “I had been working alone all the years, with regular assistance from my husband and a few elderly women staying within and around the lesson. “Whenever I wanted to move round to pick children from their homes, my husband would stay with the ones already in class. Same would happen in the afternoon until the last child had been taken home.

Whenever he was busy in the shop where he works as a lotto agent, the women who were like my in-laws would assist me. “The woman who did this evil work (kidnapping) had been coming when I was still pregnant with the 14-month-old baby I am nursing. She kept pestering me that she wanted to work with me but I told her that I did not need assistance. “About a month after I resumed work, having spent 41 days at home after delivery, she came again and I still insisted that I did not need an assistant. She told me that she wanted to leave where she was working because she was being owed salary. I replied that I would not a similar situation to occur in our relationship because the children were enough to take care of my own needs. “I told her that I would like to inform my husband which I did by calling him. But he could not come because he was busy in his office. The woman told me she would come back the following day. The following morning, when I got to the lesson, at a little after 8a.m., I met the woman waiting for me. “Shortly after, my husband came and saw her too. I said I would be paying her N3,000 monthly and she agreed. My husband left for his office and I decided to make the rounds to pick my pupils. “I went the first round to pick the children and I met the lady on my return. I went the second round and still met her. Even some parents who brought their children themselves saw her. “It was on my return after the third round that she was no longer around. I also noticed that one of the children, Abdusalam, was missing. I shouted and the elderly women around came. I quickly called my husband on the phone and he came.
I met one of the parents who just brought her child in and she said she did not meet anyone. That was how we noticed that Abigail, Samson, Chidiebere and Onyiyechukwu were also missing. The last two children are siblings Samson, who is three years old later walked back to us.” When asked if she could identify the woman, Mrs Olatunbosun replied that she could. Crime Reports learnt that the Idi Omo neighbourhood was immediately thrown into confusion as residents, especially the youths and parents of the missing pupils, started searching for the woman and the children. The mother of two of the missing children who are sisters was reported to have collapsed immediately and had since been on admission. The older of her two kids is three. But the police image maker in Oyo State, Olabisi Okuwobi-Ilobanafor said that Commissioner of Police, Kola Shodipo has put his men on their toes to unravel the identity of the woman, with a view to arresting her

obasanjo and jonathan NL 700x521 You May Cover Your ‘Evil Work’ Here, You Can’t Cover It Before God Obasanjo Tells Jonathan
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has again torn at President Goodluck Jonathan, saying Nigerian democracy remained at risk due to the action of the present administration.
Speaking at a book Launch in honour of the pioneer chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission, ICPC, Mustapha Akanbi‎, in Abuja, Mr. Obasanjo, who is the Chairman of the occasion, said the president should stop encouraging ‘verbal violence which may not physically hurt but has ways of degenerating into physical violence’.

Mr. Obasanjo said the greatest indictment against any administration is to be seen trying to destroy opposition of all sort‎s which invariably mean destroying democracy. “Management of democracy without resorting to brute force and dictatorial tendencies must be cultivated,” the former President said. “As a leader, you must not deliberately do evil or condone evil.
You should know that you will one day give account to God, you may cover up here, but before God, there is no cover up.” The former president also spoke at length on the President’s handling of the Boko Haram insurgency, ‎corruption, the economy and youth unemployment.
On insecurity, Mr. Obasanjo said Boko Haram is not out to “frustrate anyone’s political efforts” and lamented that it took Mr. Jonathan the years to ‎fully understand the menace. On corruption, Mr. Obasanjo said, “when the head is rotten, the whole body is useless” On the economy, he said Nigeria would continue to sink deeper and that what Nigerians are told about the state of the economy “is not truly what the economy is”. “The economy is in doldrums, if not in reverse,” he said. Mr. Obasanjo’s latest attack on the President is coming seven days after he rated Mr. Jonathan’s performance as below average

  1. I get the best feeling in the world when you say hi or even smile at me b'coz I know, even if its just for a second, that I've crossed your mind.
  2. Cloud dances because of wind; flower sings b'coz of rain; grass grows b'coz of earth; I live because of you; you are only the reason, you are all the reasons.
  3. If you wake up one day and were asked to have a wish, what would it be? Mine would be that our love would last until you see an apple in an orange tree.
  4. I want to hold your hand, laugh at your jokes, walk by your side, snuggle on the couch, look into your eyes, talk about whatever and kiss your lips every single day.
  5. Making me happy doesn't require a lot of efforts. Actually your presence is just enough.
  6. I can never let me heart break if it beats for you. I can never let my smile fade if it smiles for you. I can never let my love end if its for YOU.
  7. Last night I hugged my pillow and dreamt of you. I wish that someday I'd dream about my pillow and I'd be hugging you.
  8. When I look at you, I cant deny there is a GOD. Bcoz only GOD could have created someone as wonderful and beautiful as you.
  9. When I looked into your eyes I didnt see just you, I saw my today, my tomorrow and my future for the rest of my life..
  10. When I tell you I love you I don't say it out of habit or to start a conversation, I say it to remind you that you’re the best thing that ever happened to me.

Imagine a scenario- the guy of your dreams walks into the room full of people, consisting of you too. You have already fallen for him, but he is not much aware of your existence and probably never will be unless you act accordingly. He is scanning the room and soon his eyes will casually make contact with yours. One chance is all that you have to capture his attention. And, luckily one look is all you need to make him fall head over heels in love with you… provided you know how to "look"?
Science, discipline, spontaneity and luck- you will need them all in order to succeed in your endeavour and the most important element in all this will be your timing. Besides your eyes, the other two factors waiting with a key to his heart are your laughter and your overall look. So, here are the four steps to get him going crazy for you!
Step #1. Capture his eyes
Capture his eyes and make them prisoner behind the beating walls of your heart the moment they meet with yours. Don’t shy away or he will fail to see the connection.
P.S.:If you give in to your reflexes and look away immediately as he looks towards you it might send a negative vibe and he might lose interest.
Success Tip:Maintain steady contact for at least 4 seconds with a faint smile smacked on to your lips.
Choose your lipstick and eye makeup shades well. They should suit your look, your outfit and your complexion.

Step #2. Temporary withdrawal
Once you have got his attention and maintained steady eye contact for at least a few seconds, it is now time to look down but not away. Look down for a few micro-seconds, but not away.
Success Tip:Looking down suggests that you are interested and are feeling shy; whereas looking away simply dismisses the temporary fixation as a passing gaze.
P.S.:If you look up and he is still looking at you, you have some serious hopes.

Step #3. Bring in the weapons
If he still has not approached you or is busy somewhere else, then don’t go on gazing at him straight for an hour. This will just be creepy and will freak him out. Instead let him know that you are interested by looking at him from time to time. And, now most importantly, bring in the weapon.

Success Tip:In the meanwhile play with your hair, flicker your eyelids, change posture and linger your gaze on his lips for a second or two. These are some serious flirting body language signals that he will surely catch on.
P.S.:Even when you are engaged with someone else in a conversation, temporary slide away your eyes at the completion of each sentence. This will let him know that you are more interested in him than the person you are conversing with.

Step #4. Reverse the roles
Yes, now that you have his attention on you, here is a trick to make sure that he has taken the bait. Stop staring for a couple of minutes, and now wait for him to stare at you.
P.S.:The guy will certainly be wondering why you are not looking towards them anymore, and this will create an atmosphere of mystery for him.
This trick will not only build up his excitement, but also make sure that he is interested in you.
Success Tip:From the corner of your eyes, look at him slyly, but not directly. If you catch him looking towards you for at least a few minutes, then he is definitely hooked.

So, this was "Eye Flirting 101" for you! Use these subtle steps to your advantage and make him go crazy with desire for you.

These rules are, in effect, the 9 unspoken rules of a relationship

  1. Always say good morning and good night. This is not very difficult. If you constantly fail to do either of these, then there really is a problem between the two of you. You can greet your partner in a text, an email, or if you really want bonus points, call them. Your busy schedule should not hinder you from showing your loved one that you are thinking about them.
  2. Update them about your whereabouts at least once a day. You don't need to glue yourself to your phone or update your Twitter feed every hour. Take a few minutes out of your lunch break to text your partner about how your day is going. If your schedule does not permit any interruptions, call your partner before you sleep and update them then.
  3. An anniversary should always be acknowledged. Whether it's a one-month anniversary or the one-year milestone, you need to be prepared. Forgetting an anniversary is just as bad as forgetting a birthday. You are obligated to provide a gift or gesture within your means and make the day feel as special as possible. Anyone can set aside an hour or two out of their day to celebrate the momentous occasion. After all, a celebration of love is never unappreciated.
  4. Limit your compliments for a specific person in as few words as possible. Jealousy is one of the constant reasons why couples fight. The worst part is that the accused would never know that this is the reason. Hardly will anyone admit to being jealous of someone else. It's like admitting that you think the other person is better than you. And that's why, when you are with your girlfriend or boyfriend, you should refrain from reciting odes of admiration about another person. Keep your phrases short and succinct. "She looks healthy" or "He looks happy" or "I should work out more like he does." Did I mention that you should also use vague terms that have no hint of endearment whatsoever?
  5. Be consistent in your communication format. One of the complaints from people in relationships goes something like this. "We just don't talk like we used to." Many couples think that this happens because one of you has lost interest in the relationship. The truth is that the relationship has reached a point where the same patterns have become monotonous. And the truth is, you became lazy. The key to solving issues like this is to be consistent in how you communicate with your partner. The frequency does not need to remain the same, but the intensity of the messages do. You don't have to text on the hour every hour like you used to, but you need to text the way you always did. With a smiley emoticon? With an "ily" at the end? No matter what format you used, keep at it

Money has a nasty habit of inexplicably disappearing. Where the process of earning and obtaining it can be incredibly difficult, its evaporation from your wallet can be almost effortless. In an ideal world, you would have such a strong distaste for spending money that you only did so in situations that spending was absolutely necessary. But for those of us who aren't “stingy” or just naturally bent towards being tight with our money, it can be almost impossible to keep ourselves from the lure of spending it on a variety of things.

(See also: How to Do a One Month Spending Freeze) But what if there were ways to train ourselves to just hate spending money? We would stop buying things we didn't need and avoid nickel and diming ourselves all the time. We would have less clutter in our houses and more money in our bank accounts. It might even lower our stress levels a bit. While we might always be “spenders” at heart, there are some things we can do to keep fresh in our mind the damage of over-spending and an unbridled checkbook.
  1. Take Some Personal Finance Courses There are actually a lot of free personal finance courses available online. They'll help you get familiar with the pitfalls and long-term repercussions of spending money that might elude you in the short term. They'll also make you aware of things like retirement savings plans, investments, and other things that need to be factored into your immediate budget.
  2. Convert Your Spend to Your Hourly Wage Even if you're not the frugal type, consider how long it takes you to earn the cost of that trinket. You'll be far more judicious about what you're spending money on and whether or not it's really necessary. When it takes several hours (or days?) to pay for something, that thing suddenly doesn't seem so important. (See also: How a Taco Equals a T-Shirt)
  3. Run the Numbers on a Retirement Calculator Calculating how much you'll need for retirement can be a sobering reminder of the importance of saving money. It can also make you avoid spending on unnecessary things and cut back so that you can contribute more to your long-term savings goals.
  4. Write Down What You Spend If you have a budget in front of you and you're looking at all the things that you need to pay for simply to live, it can make you hate the idea of spending your money other places. That is, at least until you're sure you have discretionary income left over. (See also: Do This One Thing Every Day to Defeat Out of Control Spending)
  5. Carry Cash The act of having to hand cash over to pay for something is psychologically more unpleasant than simply swiping a credit or debit card. Set aside cash to pay for the day-to-day things, and you'll find yourself wanting to avoid spending situations in general.
  6. Save for Something You Actually Want or Need Too often we spend money in an impromptu manner or on things that we don't really need or want. Plan to save for something that you really do want, and that will act as a motivator to avoid spending on other things. Perhaps a new computer, a vacation, or even something big like a car can be excellent savings motivators.
  7. Find Your Spending Weakness and Calculate Its Cost If you notice a trend in your spending — perhaps you spend a lot dining out — run the numbers and figure out how much money you actually spend at restaurants that could be saved by eating at home. For example, one meal out per day at $15 a meal for five days a week is $300 a month. Seeing that number in three-figures can be a good motivator to pack a lunch or eat at home.
  8. Plan for Unforeseen Expenses Things like medical bills, car expenses, or even taxes can often be unexpected and unbudgeted for. Consider that these are usually three or four-figure purchases, which will require that you have money set aside to cover them when they do show up.
  9. Plan to Pay Yourself The idea of paying yourself is simply the practice of planning to have enough money from your paycheck (money that's not already spent or spoken for) to keep for yourself and to save. You don't spend it on anything, but instead you just keep it for a rainy day. Consider that if you don't do this, every time you get a paycheck, all your money is gone or in the process of being transferred to someone else. If you realize that you are the only one who doesn't get paid when you get your paycheck, it can make spending money fairly cringe-worthy.
  10. Value Your Money People who understand how valuable money is and how difficult it is to obtain it will often have an easier time avoiding over-spending than those who don't. Money itself should be valued above the short-term, and if we learn to view it as a commodity and an asset, we're less likely to waste it on a regular basis and more likely to hate spending it. Hate is a strong word, and it might seem unreasonable to expect to hate spending money. Because spending can be a good thing right? But if we lean towards the side that hates spending as opposed to the side that loves it, we're likely to be in a more sound and consistent financial situation with better cash flow. And we'd all love that

Tobacco smoke contains chemicals that are harmful to both smokers and nonsmokers. Breathing even a little tobacco smoke can be harmful

Even Though smoking darkens your lips making you look ugly, Most people still never quit, even though it`s written at every pack of Cigarette that smokers are liable to die Young, people still don't get Scared, so let me ask you, what can or will make you quit smoking?? DEATH I guess

Every time a person starts smoking, the person gets addicted to it and then it is very hard to get away from smoking. If the person didn't get cigarette, the individual starts to lose manage over them; they also have problems concentrating in what they may be doing

We all are well aware that smoking is harmful to our health. And also we're aware that smoking contributes to lung cancer and different various cancers. It they are detect early then it is usually recovered, but ifs not then its contributes to death.

Smoking also ends in High blood pressure, the strains are deposited inside veins and slowly-slowly it will lead to less provide less air to the body.

Smoking should be capital NO for Pregnant woman
According to the American Cancer Society, 5 percent of infant deaths might be prevented if pregnant women failed to smoke. Infants of mothers who smoke will probably die of Sudden Child Death Syndrome. Smoking also causes low birth weight in one in five babies. Smoking more than 10 cigarettes per day is associated with an increased risk of pregnancy loss, and some studies have even shown that the risk of miscarriage increases with paternal smoking. If you really don't care about your Own Health, what about your unborn baby?

Smoking has a strong Relationship with Cancer
Smoking causes greater than four in five conditions of lung cancer. Lung cancer has one of several lowest survival rates coming from all cancers, and is the most common cause of cancer death in the uk. The good news is that a large number of deaths are preventable, by providing up smoking in moment. Smoking also increases the risk of over a dozen other cancers including cancers of the mouth, larynx (voice box), pharynx (upper throat), nose and sinuses, oesophagus (food pipe), liver, pancreas, stomach, kidney, bladder, cervix and bowel, as well as one type of ovarian cancer and some types of leukaemia. There is also some evidence that smoking could increase the risk of br**st cancer.

But not all Smokers Get Cancer. Why?
You may know someone who smoked all of their lives but lived to a ripe old age. Or you could know someone who by no means smoked but got most cancers anyway. Does this show that smoking doesn't really result in cancer? Not at many. Years of research have proven that smoking leads to cancer. But this doesn't show that all smokers will surely get cancer or that each non-smoker won't. It ensures that smoking greatly increases the danger of this disease. Smokers tend to be, on average, much very likely to get cancer than non-smokers.
How Smoking affects your relationship?
Your spouse does not want his clothes, sheets or furniture to smell like cigarette, and vice versa — have confidence in me. Even if you was once a smoker and were used to the smell, it's still unappealing to possess that scent linger around you. Either way, it's inconvenient (as trips towards the laundry room or laundromat turn out to be tedious, yet necessary) and also unpleasant.

How to quit Smoking?
There are so many ways to quit smoking, But Firstly you have to be ready, no one can force you to stop smoking, in fact no one's needs to force you, Force yourself

28 Christians were killed yesterday morning Nov. 22nd after Islamic Shebab extremists ambushed a bus in Kenya as it headed for Nairobi from Mandera, a town close to Somalia. According to reports, the heavily armed extremists separated the Muslims from the Christians by asking them to recite verses from the Qu’ran. Then they ordered the Muslims to get off the bus and then shot the Christians point blank in the head before escaping back to Somalia. A Spokesman for Shebab later said the 28 travelers were killed in retaliation for a raid on mosques in Mombasa, Kenya last week.

It's so common for women to make such comments whenever a guy decides to end an affair with them:
"You think you can use and dump me", "he used and dumped me"?

What do they really mean by" use and dump "?

Is it that the guy had sex with her and left her? If yes, didn't she enjoy the sex too? Is it only the man that enjoys sex? If it's because of it, I don't think it's right to claim that a guy used and dumped a girl.

More so, the girl must have enjoyed lots of money, outings, clothes, jewellery, including sex while the relationship lasted, so why cry foul when the guy decides to end the affair by claiming that the guy dumped her after using her.

I haven't heard where a guy claimed that he was used and dumped. Only women say that.

Babes what do u mean by being used and dumped?

Guys has a girl ever told you that you used and dumped her?
It's annoying when some ladies use such words. undecided
A man looking to commit will want to see ample signs of honesty, integrity, trustworthiness, thrift, sensitivity, sexuality, physical fitness, wholesome values and NOT--sluttiness, and other character traits.
The sad truth is that the vast majority of Nigerian women are simply unworthy of commitment. They are washed up party girls, who spent their attractive years drinking and sleeping with every good looking douchebag that hit on her. When she realizes her looks are starting to fade, only then does she start looking for a sucker to rope into commitment.By then she is nearly worthless as a wife and mother.
If you ain't got good qualities, you should be expecting to get humped, pumped and dumped nearly every time...

Sometimes I just pity some girls I see bcoz of the kind of guy they date. If your guy ain't one of these 3, you need prayers from us:

1. The Deep Searcher: This kind of guy wants to really know you for you. He wants to know you as a person, beyond ur face, beyond the sex you guys have. And even better he accepts what he sees & is willing to help u improve if you re willing.

2. The Blunt Guy: He says it as it is. It may hurt u or not, but things never get out of hand. If he likes u he tells u. If u re getting fat he tells u. If he doesn't like ur friend he tells u. He ALWAYS keeps it real with u. No hidden agenda, either black or white. Fling or long term love, he ll tell u what he wants. Honest, sometimes in an insensitive way.

3. The Talk-and-Happen Guy: He doesn't say what he wont do. What his mouth utters u know it s already. If he says he ll beat ur boss for harrassing u, nothing u or ur boss says will stop it. His promises always happen, good or bad.

So which camp is ur guy in? smiley

President Goodluck Jonathan has proposed to cut fuel subsidies in half in a bid to reduce spending after a retreat in global crude prices.

According to David Mark, the Senate President, the government plans to reduce fuel subsidies next year to N458.6 billion ($2.6 billion) from N971.1 billion , citing a revised 2015 Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper submitted by President Jonathan.

The global collapse in oil prices is biting into Nigeria’s income, 70 percent of which comes from crude exports. Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala plans to cut expenditure by 6 percent next year and lower the budgeted benchmark oil price to $73 per barrel, from $77.5 this year.

Kerosene subsidies will also be cut to N156 billion, from N250 billion, according to the proposal.

Passing MBBS is another ball game and includes courses like Anatomy, Biochemistry , physiology, this poses a lot of worry to medical students ; most of them even go for thanksgiving when they eventually pass . Medicine as a course requires a lot of commitment from the student considering the length of the courses and examinations involved . via: telegraph.co .uk

  • Engineering: As the name implies involves designing . “ Engine students “ as they are fondly called take wide range of courses in engineering faculty including petroleum engineering , civil engineering , electric and electronic engineering and host of others before they even get to the point of handling courses specified for their department, and of course there are lots of professional exams to go through before one is qualified as a professional engineer to practice in Nigeria .

The Togo and Tottenham Hotspurs striker, has stayed away from his family including his mother, who he went with to receive the Africa Footballer of the Year award in Lagos, Nigeria. “As at now, our mother is selling polythene bags, padlocks and other things on the (Ghana/Togo) border. Our mother has not seen him for more than a year and he rejects her calls anytime. Our mother is not calling him for his money, she just wants to see him because she loves him very much,” Adebayor’s sister, Maggie told Peace FM. However, Adebayor, speaking to the same radio station, insisted that he cut off from his family, because they are plotting evil against him. “How can I talk to a mother who together with my sisters have been plotting juju against me?” he fired back. It is a sharp contrast to the comments he provided to Daily Mail in 2009, where he said: “At the airport my mum said, ‘Go to France and you can change the way this family lives.’ She knew that if I succeeded in football we could have a better life and finally get out of poverty. At 15 I wasn’t just playing for my own glory, I was playing for the sake of my family.

Luis van Gaal is expecting either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Ballon d’Or but feels one of Germany’s World Cup-winning squad would merit the award more. 111914 Soccer Man U van Gaal JW PI.vadapt.955.medium.0 Van Gaal Says Messi And Ronaldo Do Not Deserve To Win Ballon DOr

The Barcelona and Real Madrid stars are favourites to be crowned on January 12, 2015, but the Manchester United manager feels the pair do not deserve the honour. Messi, a four-time winner, was handed the Golden Ball at the World Cup after helping Argentina to the final while Ronaldo, a two-time winner, lifted the Champions League with Real Madrid. But Van Gaal feels a member of the triumphant Germany squad would be more worthy victors, with Toni Kross, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Muller, Manuel Neuer, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Gotze all nominated. “Most of the time it is always the well known players [who win the Ballon d’Or],” he told MUTV. “It is more for the football world and outside world than for other things I believe. I think it will be Ronaldo or Messi but I want to say that you have to win something. “The best thing to win is the World Cup. I hope it shall be a German player because they deserve it. “The level of the Bundesliga matches is also very high so I think it should be a German player.”

am sure you are convinced that what a man can do, a woman can do better but not everything that a man do that a woman can do. But it won't happen without you making up your mind to become the best you can. SUCCESS COMES WITH A PRICE TAG AND THOSE WHO ARE NOT READY TO PAY THE PRICE CAN'T ENJOY THE RISE. Success is not automatic and failure is not also but your input will determine your output. All the people you have seen at the top of the ladder of success perspire to acquire their desire which they admire, and never retire but re-fire until they become the best. The moment you stop to aspire, you begin to expire. Let us see some of these proven principles of success: 1. HAVE A CLEAR VISION: You must have a clear picture of what you want to become in the future because the future really begins now. If you don't know where you are going early life, you will grow up to discover that you have traveled far from your original purpose. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BECOME IN THE FUTURE? Mother Teresa decided to become a Nun at the age of 12. How old are you?. 2. DILIGENCE: No matter how great your future is, without diligence, you can't become anything good. Without diligence dreams becomes daydreams or wishful thinking. "No one can predict to what heights you can soar; even you will not know until you spread your wings and begin to fly". Give diligence to destiny. 3. DETERMINATION: Success usually will not happen at the first trial, determination is the quality of being firmly committed to a defined goal with a clear course of action to reach the goal at all cost. Determination entails staying put with what you desire until you get it. Even when you fail, determination will give you the courage to keep going. 4. RIGHT ASSOCIATION: Who are you friends? If they are those who do what people are meant to do, I can say you have no future. Look for the best in your area and class yourself around such. Many people have been wrongly punished because of wrong friends. There is no price too much to pay to join the league of the wise. Go for the good heads. Friendship is not by force but by choice, friendship is not for socialization but for actualization. 5. FOCUS AND PERSEVERANCE: Life is not a bed of roses. Difficulties will come, discrimination, failures, sickness, dispute, defamation, disappointment and death of loved ones etc may come your way. Don't lose your focus but persevere until you reach your goal. If you will not give up, you can reach the top. 6. EFFECTIVE TIME MANAGEMENT: You have a great enemy and that is time. All the time you are using to gist, visit your friends and watch movies must be used wisely. All what you do, you must be time caution. Life is too precious and you can't afford to waste your time. Time is very precious and too valuable to squander. Achievers have a strong sense of urgency. Follow religiously your workable time-table. All the time you are using to gist and watch TV is simply a waste of time. Invest time wisely. 7. POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE: You can't be better than what you are thinking; you stand the chance of becoming what you think. Think like a success and behave it. What you think about yourself is what you become. What you think determine how you react. Today's boys and girls will end up as tomorrow's men and women and what you do with your today will determine your future. SEE YOU AT THE TOP!!!

It’s said that the first year of marriage is the hardest one. The adjustments and changes that spouses encounter as newlyweds topple almost every other period in life — you and your spouse may feel stuck between the couple you used to be and the married couple you want to become. Marriage is a big risk; it can guarantee a lifetime of love, fulfillment, security and satisfaction, but it can also lead to quarrels, abuse, loneliness and divorce. Here are the top eight challenges that spouses may need to overcome in their first year:
relationshipp 8 Challenges You Will Face In Your First Year Of Marriage

  1. 1. Domesticity Problems The first thing that springs to mind is anything associated with domesticity. This means anything that can be lumped into what we like to call “household chores,”like washing the dishes, doing the laundry, tidying up or cooking dinner. For many recently married people, sharing a house with someone else is entirely new. Trying to divide the tasks in a fair and even way can put an enormous strain on a relationship.
  2. 2. Financial Issues Financial issues always crop up in the first year of marriage. Being married means sharing everything, spending money together, saving money together and dividing the income fairly. For the first time ever, you can’t simply decide to save up for a holiday or a new car; nor can you impulsively buy that new pair of designer boots. Your partner’s financial sensibilities have to be taken into account.
  3. 3. Romance Challenge When you’re married, it’s easy to stop being romantic. There’s an element of safety, and the “you’re not going anywhere” mentality comes with a dwindling of the things that can make a relationship worth it; texting and calling from work, going out for a nice meal, flirting and looking good for one another.
  4.  4. Personality Differences Living together means spending a lot of time together, so it’s inevitable that certainlifestyle differenceswill become abundantly clear. You might enjoy eating out while your partner might like to stay in and cook. You might like reading, and your partner might prefer watching television. It’s important to negotiate, compromise and find a balance.
  5.  5. Lifestyle Changes As a married couple, the first year will bring a whirlwind of lifestyle changes. In your dating period, it was probably very relaxed, casual and fun. In a marriage, these things are inevitably combined withsome of the more boring stuff, like planning, working, stressing over money and sleeping early as opposed to going out and dancing. It’s important not to resent your partner for this.
  6. 6. Parental Influence When you’re dating, it’s just the two of you. When you’re married, it’s the whole family or both families. You have in-laws to impress. You’ve taken their child away, so they’re bound to stick their noses into your affairs.Parental influencecan be a real burden on your marriage before you get used to it.
  7.  7. Unexpected Fights The first year of marriage is said to bring aninflux of fighting. This is probably because you’re with each other all the time for the first time since your relationship began. Plus, the fights may have an intensity that they didn’t have before, and you might feel like you have fewer places to escape.
  8.  Independent Plans It becomes easy to start acting independentlyof one another in the first year.Bound by the wedding ring, you might feel more inclined to make plans without consulting your partner. If you get into the habit of doing this early on, there’s a danger it might affect your entire marriage.
Marriage can be the most rewarding decision that you’ll make in your life. If you make it to your first anniversary, you’re halfway there. By establishing a strong base on which to build, the rest of your married life should be something you can anticipate, plan towards and look forward to
